Women of color account for 47% or 5,824,300 of all women-owned businesses, employ 2,230,600 people, and generate $386.6 billion in revenues.
Yet, the average revenue for a women-of-color owned business is $66,400, compared to the average revenue of $212,300 for a non-minority owned business.

The Minority Christian Women Entrepreneurs Network (MCWEN) is a thriving community for Christian women of color who have an interest in entrepreneurship and business ownership. Using the Proverbs 31 woman as a model, MCWEN seeks to support women to become impactful and positively influential in their homes, community, and at work. For us, it's not just business as usual.

Dr. Lisa Petit
Pediatrician, Parenting Educator, Speaker & Author
Dr. Lisa Petit is a board-certified Pediatrician, parenting educator, speaker, and author with more than 15 years of experience serving children and families. A proud Baltimore native, she earned her undergraduate degree in psychology through the University of Maryland Honors Program, graduated from Howard University College of Medicine, and completed her pediatric residency at Sinai Hospital. She now co-owns a private pediatric practice in Catonsville, Maryland, with her father, also a respected Pediatrician.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Petit is the founder of The Parenting Playbook and host of The Huddle with Dr. Lisa Petit podcast. Through these platforms, she equips parents with practical, evidence-based strategies for raising resilient and confident kids, blending her medical expertise, psychology background, and real-life perspective as a wife and mother of three. Guided by her faith and passion for empowering families, she brings warmth, wisdom, and authenticity to every audience she serves.
