Sheesh, why aren’t any of the things I create long lasting, fulfilling or successful?
In 2015, my Husband and I rededicated our lives to God. We received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, committed ourselves to praying daily, attended weekly bible study, tithed our 10%, and hung up our religion in pursuit of a personal relationship with God.
Little did we know at that time that our lives were being connected to the source of true life.
God is the PLUG!
God began to shift our entire life, job promotions came our way and even he shifted us into our first home- it was a process and sometimes we were simply just going through the motions but in 2016, we closed on our first home.
The bible says to “seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added unto you”. (Matthew 6:33)
It is in pursuit of HIM, his nature, his ways, his instructions that I have found life hidden in him. If we consistely seek after him by spending time with him in prayer, read his word, study his word and act on his word- he will provide all that we need and will reveal to us our purpose in life. The bible says, “he who finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord.” (Proverbs 8:35)
After purchasing our home, I knew “to whom much is given much is required” and yet I found my prayer life slowly decreasing. This left me feeling frustrated, frequently overwhelmed and I was becoming resentful. I knew these feelings were not from God and was struggling managing the home duties, my wife role, parenting all while working a full time job. I remember asking God on the inside of myself,
“please show me how to juggle all of this!”
Weeks or even months went by before I heard a voice inside of myself tell me “clean out that closet and turn it into your prayer closet”.
Following those instructions, TuNai’s Closet has become my personal ministry and purpose driven business!
God recently showed me, “I have given you the gift of creating and building, you just tried to handle it all on your own, I was never part of the equation.”
See, creativity flowed from within but I never checked in with God first, I never asked him to lead me or guide me and if I did, I did not spend enough time with him to understand his voice so I may have even missed out.
God said, the next thing you create is going to be something to lead people to me, AND that he did!!
2019- I purposely and prayerfully created and launched my candle line, TuNai’s Closet Prayer Candle, Calm Serenity.”
God is the PLUG!
Without God you may create, you may sale, you may even gain popularity but it will not be successful. The bible says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.” ( Proverbs 16:3)
