Now that you've got a bit of calm ,picture yourself smack dab in the middle of your busy schedule when, out of nowhere, you hear a voice loud and clear: "GET OUT OF THE WAY!" What would you do? Scratch your head? Wonder what the heck that even means? Well, guess what? That's exactly what happened to me last month.
The Call to Step Back: So, there I was, deep in prayer when I distinctly heard the Lord telling me to get out of the way. But honestly, I had no clue how to go about it. I didn't want to come off as irresponsible, and I sure as heck didn't want to mess with the "consistency is key" rule for social media. As the month was wrapping up, I spent extra time diving into the Word and ramping up my prayer game. But the real eye-opener came in the eleventh hour of the month. Once again, in prayer, I heard the Lord's voice, and this time, He told me to take a social media fast. Now, for someone like me—a TV show host and media entrepreneur—that's no small deal. To make things crazier, my daughter, who helps run my social media, was feeling the same way. You can imagine the questions swirling in our heads. How on earth were we going to handle this? In one short and sweet sentence, we decided to go for it!
The Transformative Power of Obedience: Let me tell you, what happened next was beyond amazing! Fasting from social media and redirecting all our energy toward spiritual growth while putting our trust in Yahweh was mind-blowing. In the silence, I heard the voice of the Lord again; this time I heard "re-emerge." It felt like a fresh start. I could sense that something new was shifting, something way beyond my own abilities. Miraculously, doors began to open after months of waiting and praying. Strangely enough, all my efforts before that seemed to keep me stuck. This month has been a whirlwind. Invitations for things I didn't even ask for started pouring in. Approvals that had been playing hard to get finally came through, and my team suddenly exponentially grew with some top-notch professionals ready to share the load. All this happened in my secret place—when I obeyed without hesitation or doubt. This month, doors have been swinging wide open left and right without me having to break a sweat, and I am getting fresh strategies to work smarter and not harder! Who wouldn't love that?
