3 Ways to Partner With God in Your Business

When you're a faith-driven entrepreneur, one of the most important questions you can ask yourself is: Am I really building this business with God or just asking Him to bless what I’ve already decided to do?
It’s a hard but holy question.
As women called to build businesses that honor God, we have to constantly check our hearts and realign with the One who gave us the vision in the first place. This blog is inspired by a recent episode of my podcast, where I shared three powerful ways to partner with God in your business, not just in theory, but in your everyday strategy and decisions.
Let’s dive into them.
1. Start by Asking God First
It sounds simple, but many of us skip this step. We brainstorm, we plan, we invest, we build — and then we pray. But real partnership starts with asking God from the very beginning.
Asking is more than bringing our requests. It’s a spiritual invitation that says, “Lord, I want to know what You want for this business.”
In Matthew 7:7, Jesus says, “Ask, and it will be given to you…” And James 1:5 reminds us that if we lack wisdom, we can ask God and He will give it generously.
So whether you're considering a new offer, thinking about raising your prices, or unsure about a client opportunity, pause and ask God. He is not a silent partner. He wants to be consulted. And when we ask in faith, He responds.
2. Seek God’s Will Over Business Trends
We live in a noisy world. There’s no shortage of business advice, marketing hacks, and “six-figure secrets” online. But as Kingdom entrepreneurs, our focus must be on seeking God’s will, even if it goes against what’s popular.
To seek God is to pursue His heart, His Word, and His strategy above all else.
Romans 12:2 says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” When your mind is renewed by Scripture, you begin to think like Heaven — not hustle culture.
In your business, this might look like:
Studying God's Word before you plan your content
Asking God who you’re really called to serve
Testing an idea in prayer before launching it online
The more you seek Him, the more you’ll find clarity about what your lane is — not just what others are doing.
3. Knock With Boldness and Endurance
When Jesus said “Knock, and the door will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7), He wasn’t just talking about one prayer and done. He was pointing to persistence, consistency, and trust.
Knocking is about moving in faith even when you don’t yet see the results.
It’s easy to feel discouraged when the vision God gave you hasn’t materialized yet. But what if the knocking is the strategy? What if the persistence is building you just as much as it's building your business?
In Luke 18, Jesus tells the parable of the persistent widow to teach us to pray and not give up. That same principle applies in business because Kingdom impact requires long-suffering, patience, and the kind of boldness that doesn't quit after one closed door.
So sis, if you know God gave you the vision — keep knocking.
Final Thoughts
True partnership with God in business means we don’t just check in with Him when we’re lost — we walk with Him from the start. We ask. We seek. We knock. And we do it all with the belief that He is leading, providing, and guiding us every step of the way.
This isn’t just about building profitable businesses. It’s about building businesses that reflect His Kingdom, His values, and His glory.
So the next time you sit down to work on your business, ask yourself: Am I building with God or just for Him?
